Faktanya, ada asupan lain yang juga mengandung omega 3 dan omega 6. Medical Advisor Kalbe Nutritionals, dr. Ervina Hasti W, turut mengatakan omega 3 dan 6 tidak hanya bersumber dari ikan salmon.
"Omega 3 dapat diperoleh dari konsumsi ikan berminyak seperti makarel dan sarden serta bahan makanan bersumber tumbuhan seperti biji chia. Omega 6 terdapat pada minyak goreng dan kacang-kacangan seperti kedelai, almond, dan mede," ujar dr. Ervina kepada detikHealth, Selasa (8/1/2019). Perlu diketahui, omega 3 merupakan asam lemak tak jenuh jamak (polyunsaturated) yang tidak dapat diproduksi sendiri oleh tubuh. Selain menyehatkan jantung, omega 3 yang terdiri dari EPA, ALA, dan DHA berperan menjaga kekebalan tubuh dan mengendalikan peradangan. Bahkan omega 3 bisa mencegah kerusakan otak untuk mencegah demensia saat masa tua dan membentuk energi serta meningkatkan kadar kolesterol baik atau HDL. Sementara itu, omega 6 berfungsi membantu menurunkan kadar kolesterol sekaligus mengendalikan gula darah. Beberapa studi penelitian juga mengungkapkan omega 6 mengurangi berbagai gejala penyakit kronis seperti obesitas, diabetes, dan hipertensi Maka dr. Ervina mengingatkan agar sejak dini menerapkan pola makan yang tepat, yakni dengan turut menyertakan asupan omega 3 dan omega 6 pada menu sehari-hari.
"Pola makan saat ini justru tinggi gula, karbohidrat, dan lemak. Sangat sedikit yang mengandung asam lemak omega 3. Defisiensi omega 3 dapat mempercepat perkembangan obesitas dan kerusakan jantung," jelasnya. Untuk mendapatkan asupan omega 3 dan omega 6 dengan tepat, konsumsi Entrasol dengan rutin.
